This recipe for chocolatey energy chunks are very popular in our house. It is like eating a piece of candy with good stuff in it! The recipe is very easy to substitute ingredients to make other versions. We often double it too.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup raw honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 C peanut butter (or other nut butters, but we like peanut the best)
- 1/2 C raisins
- 1/2 C raw sesame seeds
- 1/2 C raw sunflower seeds (1 cup of any nuts will do)
- 1/2 C cocoa powder
Directions
Melt peanut butter and honey in pan. Add other ingredients. Mix thoroughly, Spread in shallow pan (6 x 4 for this size) . Chill for at least an hour. When firm, cut into cubes. Store in fridge for up to one month.
